e-SYNC - Instrument Operation - Charging the Instrument & PDA Batteries

Charge the instrument by performing the follow steps:

a.      Make sure the instrument and battery charger are clean and dry.

b.      Check to make sure the instrument battery charger input voltage, frequency rating and plug style are the same as your local electrical supply. If not then use the required voltage converter or contact us for more details. The equipment can be severely damaged by using the incorrect voltage for the battery charger. Do NOT proceed unless you are sure that it is correct.

c.      In a clean and dry environment, plug the instrument battery charger into the power source.

d.      Insert the small e-SYNC port driver into the side hole of the large e-SYNC port driver (for extra leverage) and then remove the data port plug from the data port. (item B in figure 1)

e.      Use the small e-SYNC port driver to make sure the instrument power switch (item A in figure 1) is turned fully counter clockwise. (the off position)

f.        Plug the instrument battery charger into the data port (item B in figure 1) and the battery charger green light will come on.

g.      Once the green light goes off the charging is complete and the battery charger can be unplugged.

h.      Install and FIRMLY tighten (insert the small port driver into the large one for extra leverage) the data port plug into the data port (item B in figure 1) and the instrument is now charged.

If not then use the required plug converter or contact us for more details. The equipment can be severely damaged by using the incorrect voltage for the battery charger. Do NOT proceed unless you are sure that it is correct.

  4. Plug the PDA battery charger into the power source. (a flashing yellow light on the PDA will come on)
